What emission factors does the Atlas Metrics platform use?

We use a variety of internationally recognised and up-to-date emission factors.

Our sources include Ecoinvent, UK BEIS, PCAF Real Estate, UNFCCC, EU-JRC, and UBA Austria & Germany.

Additionally, we have developed our own spend-based emission factors using environmental input-output modelling. These factors are particularly useful for Scope 3 categories like Purchased Goods and Services, Capital Goods, and Business Travel. For this model, we rely on data from EDGAR, FAOSTAT, UNFCCC, and EUROSTAT.
