What is the Data Quality Tool?

The Data Quality Tool is a feature in your Atlas Metrics account that helps you review and optimize the ESG data you have submitted.

  • Identify outliers in your submitted data
  • Flag missing values
  • Spot potential inconsistencies

This post-submission review ensures your data is as accurate, consistent, and reliable as possible — before it's finalized for reporting.


Where can I find the tool?

You can access the tool by:

  1. Logging into your Atlas Metrics account.
  2. Navigating to the "Data Quality Tool" section on the main dashboard.

 

What should I do once I am in the tool?

You’ll find three key areas to review:

1. Flagged Data Points: This section shows data points that may be missing critical information or appear as outliers. If the data is correct, no action is needed. If the data is missing or incorrect, you can use the Alternative Values feature to overwrite the information for your portfolio companies.

2. Omission Rates: Here, you will see where omission rates are high (above 15%). If you notice significant gaps, please review the data yourself or follow up with your portfolio companies.

3. Reporting Levels: This section highlights cases where the reporting level doesn’t match the number of FTEs. No immediate action is required, but please keep this in mind for your next reporting cycle.


How do I confirm I have completed the review?

Once you’ve addressed all data quality issues:

  • Navigate to Network → Send data.
  • Submit the button "I confirm that I have reviewed the data quality dashboard"
