How do I overwrite and submit portfolio company data?

With Alternative Values, you can provide or correct data submitted by a portfolio company at the fund level. The original number stays visible—you can explore it anytime, while your entered value is used for aggregation.

Here’s how it works:

• Head to ”All Metrics” in your Atlas account.
• Pick the specific disclosure you want to update—say, Scope 1 GHG Emissions.
• Check out the value submitted by the company.
• Click “Directly provide data on behalf of the company”, then enter your new value.
• Submit your update.
• If you ever want to return to the company’s original data, reopen the metric, pick “Use data shared by the company”, and submit again.

Please note that using Alternative Value doesn’t immediately impact the completion rate on your Home Page—but it ensures your fund‑level reports are accurate.
