How can I overwrite data of my portfolio companies?

The Alternative Value feature enables you to overwrite data submitted by your portfolio companies or provide data on their behalf. Simply open the disclosure you wish to correct in your Atlas account, input alternative value, and the system will use this updated value for fund-level data aggregation. The original value reported by the portfolio company will be preserved, allowing you to toggle between the original and alternative values as needed.

Steps to Update Data via Alternative Values - Example

1. Navigate to Disclosures in your Atlas account
2. Select the relevant disclosure, such as “Scope 1 GHG emissions” (see image below)
3. Review the value provided by Company X for Scope 1 GHG emissions - In this case, the value is 1,555.00 tCO2e
4. Click on “Directly provide data on behalf of Company X” and enter the new value of Scope 1 GHG emissions for Company X
5. Click Submit to save the updated data
6. If you wish to revert to the original value provided by the company, reopen the disclosure, click “Use data shared by Company X,” and submit it again.
